Katie offers teaching, training and schooling for riders, horses and ponies of all levels and has the experience of training and competing a large number of horses in the three core disciplines as well as broader aspects of horsemanship. She has a passion for producing young horses, especially eventers, and a particular understanding of retraining racehorses for ROR having trained and ridden both after and during their racing career.
Katie’s systematic and understanding approach to training aims to ensure that both horse and rider develop a real understanding and feeling of confidence towards their work. Katie teaches riders of all ages and abilities, whether they are aiming to build confidence as a pleasure rider or looking to improve performance in competition. A qualified first aider, Katie is happy to come to your yard or will teach you at her yard. She also enjoys teaching for the local Pony Clubs.
Katie schools ponies and horses from 13h to 18h plus. She is sensitive and patient and ensures that her charges build the muscalature to have a correct way of going and the strength and flexibility to demonstrate excellent paces and to jump with power and confidence.
Katie's clients have enjoyed success at shows such as Pony Club Nationals, Scope, Royal International, Horse of the Year and Royal Windsor as well as numerous unaffiliated championships.
